Settlement: Baxter Healthcare Corp.

Kathryn Wedgeworth filed a gender discrimination lawsuit in November 2005 against her employer claiming two men had been promoted for two different director positions instead of her. The case was tried in December in US District Court, Western District of Arkansas in Harrison, where a jury awarded Wedgeworth $ 320,000 in damages. Despite winning the case, Wedegeworth opted for an out of court settlement for an undisclosed amount with Baxter Healthcare. (15-Jan-2007)[]
