Settlement: Odyssey Healthcare Inc.

Odyssey Healthcare Inc. was accused by two whistleblower actions of charges related to patient admission, retention and discharge practices and investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dallas-based Odyssey agreed to a $13 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Odyssey did not admit any wrongdoing. (Jul-12-06)[]
