Research In Motion and Wi-LAN Settle Litigation

OTTAWA - Wi-LAN Inc., a leading technology innovation and licensing company, announced in a press release that Research In Motion Limited (RIM) and Wi-LAN have settled the pending patent litigation between the two companies.

As a result of the settlement, RIM has obtained a license to certain patents of Wi LAN in the area of wireless technology and the litigation between the two companies will be dismissed.
