LES-AC and JAPM Hold Training Course at TAGCB

AMMAN - The Licensing Executives Society – Arab Countries (LES-AC) in cooperation with the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Medical Appliances (JAPM) are organizing a training course entitled “Fundamentals of Intellectual Asset Management and Licensing”, July 26-29, 2008 at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business/ German Jordanian University (TAGCB).
The four-day course will provide participants with the basic concepts and skills necessary for successful intellectual asset management and licensing.
The course tackles three major topics; the basic of Intellectual Property (IP) and Licensing, Business Framework of IP and Licensing and the Deal: Valuation and Negotiation.
Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to use the fundamental language of IP and licensing, identify basic legal issues, understand how to develop an IP asset management process, participate in analyzing and assessing the portfolio of intellectual assets and recognize and use successful strategies for negotiating and closing a deal.
The training course targets those whose responsibilities include any aspect of licensing and technology transfer such as: lawyers, financial business consultants, intellectual asset managers, patent attorneys, portfolio managers, CEOs, general managers, business owners and consultants dealing with franchising and licensing people working in all industries.
Trainers include, Trademarks Portfolio Manager and Legal Consultant Mazen Al-Tamimi, Regional Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Valuation (TAGValuation) Ehab Dawoud and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization Internal Training and Continuous Education Director Hams Madanat.
