“Inventors Wanted” Competition Reaches Jordan

AMMAN - Arab student inventors gathered today at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Amman to participate in the first of its kind in the Arab World “Inventors Wanted” competition, organized by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

The Foundation is initializing the first Docu-Reality Show for Arab inventors, 16 Arab students with an invention project will be selected from all over the world to get the chance to develop their project during a ten-week workshop in Doha. The invention will go through engineering, designing, business planning and marketing.

A panel of four international experts will be judging the inventions and the winner will go home with $200,000.

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private non-profit organization, founded in 1995 by His Highness Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani Emir of Qatar. It is guided by the principle that a nation’s greatest resource is the potential of its people. The foundation aims to develop that potential through a network of centers devoted to progressive education, research and community welfare.
