Enzo Biochem Reports Federal Court Ruling

FARMINGDALE, NY - Enzo Biochem Inc. announced in a Thursday press release that the Federal Court issued a ruling relating to the claim terms in eight patents asserted against Defendants Affymetrix, Roche, Amersham, PerkinElmer, Sigma Aldrich, Orchid Biosciences and Molecular Probes.  The cases are pending before Judge John Sprizzo in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.

According to Counsel for Enzo, the ruling supports Enzo’s position that hundreds of defendants’ products infringe certain Enzo patents.  The ruling opens the door for Enzo to pursue its patent infringement claims, as well as to aggressively pursue its claims that defendants breached their contractual obligations to Enzo.
