US Government to Hold Copyright Seminar for Tennessee Creators

WASHINGTON, DC - US Deputy Under-Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property Stephen Pinkos and Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) will join hundreds of Tennessee area creators on July 17, 2006 at the Nashville Marriott / Vanderbilt University for a conference on copyright policy.

According to a press release by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the conference will be held by the Office’s Department of Commerce.

The daylong conference will focus on how copyright laws can best protect intellectual property (IP) in an age when the Internet and other advances in technology are fundamentally changing the way people work, learn, and entertain.
