Winrock and Metropolitan Go Back to Court

You may have heard that Winrock Grass Farms Inc. launched a lawsuit against Metropolitan National Bank, Tom Ferstl and his Affiliated Real Estate Appraisers.

If the Pulaski County Circuit Court case sounds oddly familiar, that's because it is.

The suit originally was filed in federal court and was dismissed recently by U.S. District Court Judge James Moody.

To some, this case represents something of a third go-around with a twist.

Winrock Grass Farms and Metropolitan National Bank sued and countersued each other in 2003. Neither side was awarded any damages, and a foreclosure sale of the company's 811-acre grass farm in western Pulaski County went forward.

Pulaski County Circuit Judge Tim Fox presided over that cat fight.
