Bank After Shannon Fewell

A Dallas Bank is trying to collect $211,000 from Shannon Fewell, who was married to Little Rock businessman Bob Fewell for 46 years.

The Fewells signed a personal guarantee for several loans totaling more than $1.3 million for Bob Fewellð# trucking company Pro Transportation Inc. of Little Rock.

Well, Pro Transportation defaulted on the loans, and Beal Bank of Dallas forced a foreclosure sale of the Pro Transportation property used as collateral.

The sale resulted in $781,000 for the bank, leaving a balance of $211,192 plus interest accruing at $44.59 a day, according to the lawsuit filed by Beal Bank in U.S. District Court.

If you recall the divorce of Shannon and Bob Fewell was settled in May 2005, only after it was filed in March 2005. The divorce resulted in Shannon Fewell receiving several business assets of her former husbandð#.

The quick divorce raised the eyebrows because shortly after they were officially split, Bob Fewell filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Shannon Fewell had said there was no wrongdoing in the case, but the Committee of Unsecured Creditors, which was appointed by the U.S. Trustee in Fewellð# bankruptcy case sued Shannon Fewell in an attempt to recover the assets of Bob Fewell transferred during the divorce.

That case is still pending.
